Qemtex Constructs New UAE Plant to Latest Sustainability Standards
UMM AL QUWAIN, United Arab Emirates - February 19, 2024 - Qemtex today confirmed its new powder coatings factory being built in Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone complies fully with the UAE’s most advanced environmental standards.
“Protecting the environment sits among the top priorities for Qemtex. In designing and constructing this facility, we are implementing comprehensive measures to minimize ecological impact on the region,” stated CEO Alexandr Glukhov.
According to company plans, production processes at the new plant will use closed-loop, zero-waste technologies. Emission control systems, water recycling, and waste treatment facilities will also be instituted. The complex as a whole will align with the sustainability benchmark ISO 14001.
“Responsible environmental stewardship forms a core piece of our corporate culture at Qemtex. We aim to install cutting-edge green technologies wherever possible to mitigate negative externalities,” added Glukhov.
The new Umm Al Quwain powder coatings factory is scheduled to commence operations in mid-2024. Once fully online and operating at scale, the plant will produce 10,000 tons annually, helping meet demand growth.
