Qemtex takes part in Central Asia Coatings Show 2026
Perihan Karaalioğlu, Head of R&D at Qemtex, delivered a guest lecture for students at Nazarbayev University, presenting an in-depth overview of modern powder coatings technologies, global industry trends and the future of advanced coating solutions.
The presentation covered the fundamentals of powder coatings, including their chemistry, production processes and application technologies, as well as the growing role of research and development in shaping next-generation materials for architectural, industrial and automotive sectors. The session also explored emerging industry directions such as sustainable formulations, EV coatings, smart coatings and low-bake technologies.
During the lecture, students were introduced to the global growth of the powder coatings industry, current technological challenges and the increasing importance of innovation in developing environmentally friendly, high-performance and cost-efficient coating systems. Particular attention was given to how modern powder coatings contribute to durability, corrosion protection, energy efficiency and sustainable industrial production.
Perihan Karaalioğlu also shared insights into Qemtex’s R&D approach, including the company’s work in formulation development, curing chemistry, performance optimization and advanced testing protocols. Students were introduced to Qemtex’s international R&D infrastructure and its focus on integrating research, engineering and industrial application into product development processes.
The lecture became part of Qemtex’s broader efforts to support knowledge exchange, engineering education and collaboration between industry and academia. Through initiatives like this, the company aims to encourage young specialists to explore careers in materials science, chemical engineering and industrial innovation.
